Textual Materials
1. Zero Conditional:

  • Form: if + present tense, present tense / present tense + if + present tense
  • Usage: Used to express general truths or facts. Similar to “every time” situations.
    • If water reaches 100°C, it boils.
    • Water boils if it reaches 100°C.

2. First Conditional:

  • Form: if + present tense, will/might/could/going to + base verb / will/might/could/going to + base verb + if + present tense
  • Usage: Used to express probable future outcomes based on a condition.
    • If I invest my money, it will grow.
    • My money will grow if I invest it.
