Present Tenses – Present Continuous

Textual Material
  • Form:
    • Affirmative Form: am/is/are + verb + -ing
    • Negative Form: am/is/are not + verb + -ing
    • Question Form:  am/is/are + … + verb + -ing?
  • Examples:
    • He’s living in Thailand.
    • I’m not living in Thailand.
    • Are they living in Thailand?
  • The present continuous tense is used:
    • For describing temporary situations:
      • Example: I’m studying hard for exams.
    • For actions occurring at the moment of speaking:
      • Example: I’m waiting for my friends.
